Embark on a four-day immersive photography adventure, designed specifically for international photographers seeking to capture the heart of Finland's breathtaking autumn landscapes. This workshop blends hands-on storytelling techniques with outdoor exploration for an unforgettable experience in the wilderness.

What to Expect:

- Thursday: Meet the guide at the Railway Station or the Airport. Transport, arrival and orientation. A warm welcome with traditional Finnish snacks, followed by a seminar on storytelling in photography. Learn techniques to convey emotion and narrative through your lens.

- Friday: Guided autumn hiking through vibrant, golden forests. Discover perfect spots for capturing the stunning interplay of light, color, and nature. In the evening bonfire with a discussion on photo editing tips.

- Saturday: Canoeing in the early morning on serene lakes and rivers, where the mist and reflective waters create magical opportunities for storytelling. End the day camping near our cabin under the stars, focusing on group photography, astrophotography, Northern Lights and nightscapes. (Possibility to sleep in the cabin)

- Sunday: Final photo walk and positive feeling -session with kind words in the cabin. Share your stories, show the photos, get personalized feedback, and leave inspired to tell more through your wonderful photography!

After these rewarding and creativity-enhancing days, you have four to six different yet mutually supportive photographs that form an intriguing collection of your long weekend in Finland. During this journey, you have learned how to narrate an unforgettable visual experience and uniquely present it through your social channels or print it in high-quality formats.

Throughout the workshop, you'll be guided by an experienced professional photographer and locals familiar with the area, ensuring a deep connection with both the craft and the environment.

  • Place: Syöte Hiking area, Pudasjärvi, Finland

  • Availability: 14.-17.8, 28.-31.8. 2025

  • Duration: Long weekend, 3 nights, 4 days

  • Number of participants: Min 3 persons, max 8 persons

  • Accommodation: Two nights in a cabin or a local hotel, one night in a two-person tent

  • Price: 980 €/person

  • Price includes: Airport / Railway station transfers, transport and guidance, meals (breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner), accommodation, sleeping bag and other equipment for the tent night, sauna, and shower.

  • The price doesn’t include flights.

  • Equipment: DSLR or mirrorless camera with suitable objectives, pocket camera, or phone camera. Participants have their own warm boots, clothing, warm underwear, etc., according to the weather, and stay in the tent. Please ask for the whole list of equipment after booking. You can also rent clothing sets from us.

  • Equipment included in the price: Sleeping bag and all the camping gear

  • By additional cost: single room +60 €/night.

    Clothing set: Padded jacket and trousers, mittens, headwear, boots - 15 €/set/person/day.

    Camera equipment: We have different kinds of cameras and lenses for rent. Ask for availability.

  • Private tent +40 € / night

  • Payment: Invoice, cash, credit card

  • Tour level: Easy. Normal physical condition is enough.

  • Languages: Finnish, English, Swedish

  • Insurance: We require participants to have insurance for outdoor activities in Finland and all weather conditions.

  • Tour operator: Our tours are organized responsibly by Matexpro Oy, registered with the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (KKV) under registration number 322/21/Mj.
